Elizabeth ‘Ellie’ Sims, a 20-year-old sophomore at Florida State University, tragically lost her life in a hit-and-run accident on Monday. The incident occurred at the intersection of Pensacola Street and Lorene Street, near the university campus, where Sims was struck by a car while using a designated crosswalk.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 18-year-old Willis Trueblood Jr., fled the scene after the collision. However, the Tallahassee Police Department (TPD) later arrested Trueblood in connection with the incident.
