Tennessee Tech University Suicide, Report of student death on campus on Saturday morning
According to Tennessee Tech officials, emergency services responded to a “isolated incident involving a student on campus” on Saturday morning.
According to a source, a suicide occurred on Saturday morning on A Street, which is situated between North Peachtree Avenue and Dixie Avenue. Johnson, Pennebaker, and Foster Halls are on A Street.
On Saturday morning, the name of the person who committed suicide was not made public. Located in Cookeville, Tennessee, Tennessee Technological University is a public research university. It was first established as a private university under the name University of Dixie, and then it was known as Tennessee Polytechnic Institute.

A message of remembrance and support from President Phil Oldham: “I am deeply saddened to share with you that, earlier this morning, a member of our student community passed away from self-inflicted harm. I have met with the student’s family and shared the university’s heartfelt sympathies for their unimaginable loss. As we process this news together, I encourage you to reach out to those around you, extend an added measure of kindness and be ready to listen and offer support.
In times like these, let us remind ourselves and each other: no one is alone, every person has immeasurable worth and help is always available. Today’s homecoming game and other activities will continue with a moment of silence to memorialize the student we have lost. In the coming days, we will share additional details about how we can come together as a community to remember our fellow Golden Eagle and support each other in this time of loss.
