Suicide; CMSGT Willie Frazier Death, United States Air Force Chief Master Sergeant has died

United States Air Force Chief Master Sergeant CMSGT Willie Frazier has sadly passed away. He died on Saturday 22nd June 2024 by suicide. He was announced dead through a post that reads “Teammates, I am saddened by the loss of Chief Master Sgt. Willie Frazier II. His 30 years of service touched the lives of thousands of Guardians, Airmen and Families, leaving an enduring impact on our Space Force and Air Force communities.”

Willie Frazier Career

Chief Master Sergeant Willie H. Frazier II serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader of Space Delta 4 at Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado. In this role, he is responsible for providing leadership to 900 Space Force personnel, civilians, and coalition members from four allied nations. Together, they are tasked with executing the USSPACECOM Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Missile Warning and Ground-Based Radar missions. His duties encompass ensuring the professional development of both officer and enlisted personnel, advising the Space Delta 4 Commander on critical matters related to operations, readiness, morale, good order, and discipline.

Chief Frazier’s extensive career began when he entered the Air Force in 1994. Over the years, he has accumulated a wealth of experience across a range of roles, including security forces member, combat arms instructor, and satellite communications technician. His dedication and expertise have been instrumental in his development and success within the Air Force.

Willie Frazier Education

Throughout his career, Chief Frazier has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment. His educational achievements include graduating from the Airman Leadership School at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, in 1999, and the NCO Academy at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, in 2006. In 2010, he earned an Associate Degree in Electronic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. His pursuit of excellence continued with his recognition as a Distinguished Graduate of the Air Force Senior NCO Academy Advanced Leadership Experience at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base, Alabama, in 2014.

Chief Frazier’s deployments have been pivotal to his career. He has served in various operations, including NORTHERN WATCH, ALLIED FORCE, SOUTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and NEW DAWN. These experiences have not only enhanced his operational expertise but also deepened his understanding of joint and coalition operations.
