Stratford Police are investigating an incident where a suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Thursday night. Two victims are currently in the hospital, fighting for their lives, following a shooting in Stratford, Ontario.

Police responded to reports of multiple shots fired at an apartment on Bradshaw Drive. Residents were advised to avoid the area during the active investigation. The department stated, “We have an active investigation ongoing in the area of Bradshaw & McCarthy. Please avoid this area.”

Incident Details According to law enforcement, two suspects, identified only as a male and female, were taken into custody after a deadly altercation late Thursday night. The incident occurred between 11:35 PM and 12:30 AM. During the altercation, one suspect brandished a shotgun and shot two people before turning the weapon on himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two victims were transported to a nearby hospital, with one in critical condition and the other in stable condition. Stratford Police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing. A local resident told Wagon United News that the deceased suspect and the arrested female were a couple known for causing disturbances in the area. The identities of those involved have not been disclosed.
