Shmuel Brog z”l, who was niftar, died following a tragic accident that occurred in Jackson, on May 31, 2024, he was five years old. The parents of Shmuel Z”l are R’ Avrumy and Ayala Brog. One of the directors of Oorah’s summer camp, The Zone, is well-known as R’ Avrumy. Harav Yisroel Brog, the rosh yeshiva of Tiferes Avigdor in Wickliffe, Ohio, is his grandpa.
What happened?
When the van on E. Veterans at Cleveland Court collided with another car, Shmuel Z”l was inside. The tiny child suffered severe injuries and experienced a traumatic arrest. After rescuing him from the scene and regaining his pulse, Hatzolah paramedics hurried him to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he unfortunately passed away shortly after. In addition, the driver of the second car in the collision had a traumatic arrest. After being taken to the Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood, she was tragically declared deceased. Her identity has not yet been made public, and more details about her will be shared as soon as they become available.
The levaya will take place at Lakewood Bais Olam, 782 E. 7th Street, on Friday at 1:45 p.m. It won’t be found within the chapel.
