Popular Maine activist and self-dubbed ‘America’s Most Dangerous Dad’ Shawn McBreairty has tragically died. The Educational Freedom Advocate and @MESourceOfTruth podcast was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a location in Hampden, according to law enforcement agencies.

The Penobscot County, Maine, was found deceased from a personally-inflicted wound on Monday, 3 June 2024. According to Shawn McBreairty’s family, Shawn McBreairty also suffered from depression and anxiety. Law enforcement agencies were called to the scene of a shooting at a residence in Hampden, ME.
According to reports, one man was located suffering from a fatal gunshot injury. Law enforcement agencies ruled out possibilities of foul play and are investigating the incident as a suicide.

Shawn McBreairty was a well-known Maine resident who became popular after a viral fallout with an educational body. Shawn proudly fought against sexualized library books in local schools and won an injunctive relief against the school district that banned him from attending all functions of the school. Shawn was an America’s Most Dangerous Dad,” Patriot, Lion, Ultra-MAGA, Pureblood, Advocate for Educational Freedom & more toxic masculinity. He was a journalist and parent Shawn McBreairtywho went viral after the Brewer School Department threatened to sue him.

Shawn was the host of @MESourceOfTruth. Shawn accused the local school district of teaching the controversial critical race theory (CRT) to children. He was also an Ex-volunteer for the conservative Maine First Project.

According to reports, Shawn was allegedly using SSRIs – Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors – a very popular antidepressant. SSRIs according to reports, treat depression, particularly persistent or severe cases, and are often used in combination with a talking therapy such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

Steve Robinson wrote: “I can confirm that conservative activist Shawn McBrearity took his own life yesterday in Hampden. Multiple sources have told me Shawn had recently started taking SSRIs and was not his usual upbeat self. While the ghouls on the left are celebrating, Shawn leaves behind a wife and two twin girls. Shawn and I didn’t always see eye to eye, but he was a dedicated father, and his activism on behalf of parental rights was driven by a father’s love.”
