Police in Council Bluffs on the Hunt for Omaha Man Linked to Fatal Shooting
Gary Fredrick, 62, tragically killed at his Council Bluffs residence
Council Bluffs Police are currently conducting a search for an Omaha resident wanted in connection with a homicide that took place on Sunday evening. The victim, 62-year-old Gary Fredrick, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at his home near Harrison Street and Kanesville Blvd. Authorities were alerted to the incident at approximately 6:40 p.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered Fredrick, a long-time resident of Council Bluffs, in critical condition. He was promptly provided with medical attention before being transported to Nebraska Medicine. Sadly, Fredrick succumbed to his injuries shortly after his arrival at the medical facility.
Initial findings from the ongoing investigation indicate that Fredrick had arrived at his residence before a violent altercation ensued. Eyewitnesses reported that the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Mensah Olloway from Omaha, brandished a handgun and fired multiple rounds at Fredrick.
