North Mecklenburg High School Lockdown Investigations: North Mecklenburg High School in Huntersville was placed on lockdown just after 2 p.m. Wednesday after an anonymous tip of a threat, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools said in an email told parents that. “Law enforcement was immediately called as the tip was investigated.” Law enforcement agencies were called to the school for a shooting threat eports. According to reports, the school campus located at 11201 Old Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC has been placed on a lockdown. In September 2022, the school was also placed on lockdown for a similar shooting threat claim.
No credible threat was found, Principal Stephanie Hood said in a separate email to North Meck families.
