Msgr. Avelino ‘Billy’ Onyot death, former parish priest passed away

Avelino Billy Onyot passed away:

Father Avelino Onyot, former Parish Priest of San Antonio de Padua in Poblacion 3, Tagbilaran passed away suddenly leaving his friends and family in deep sorrow.

Fr. Rev. Msgr. AVELINO “Billy” ONYOT cause of death was not known and his family will announce his burial information. We will update the information as soon as possible.

He was also a former Parish Priest of Dauis. When someone is in such grieving and pain, it can be difficult to find words of consolation, and it can be even harder to accept and move on from a loss. His sudden passing has left his close ones in deep sorrow.

Who was Avelino Billy Onyot?

Avelino Onyot was a former parish priest. He was a school director of SJBA. Msgr. Billy’s unwavering commitment to shepherding the parishioners of Birhen sa Barangay Shrine Parish has impacted countless lives, guiding us with wisdom, compassion, and love.

While his absence will be deeply felt, his lessons and the memory of his kindness will live on in everyone’s hearts. During this period of grieving, let us come together in prayer, and find comfort in the memories we had together. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

In addition to his pastoral duties, he was a beloved friend, mentor, and confidant to many. His infectious laughter, warm smile, and gentle demeanor brought joy to all who knew him, creating a sense of community wherever he went.
