The Maine State Police promptly responded to the scene of the single-vehicle crash, which took place on Route 7 near the Newport town line at approximately 10:39 a.m. Upon arrival, troopers discovered a silver Ford Taurus carrying three individuals, among them a 10-year-old child who sustained severe injuries.
