The community is mourning the loss of Luke Guillot, a respected Baton Rouge Community College alumnus and a well-regarded professional in the construction industry. Luke’s passing was confirmed on Sunday, December 17, 2023, through a touching Facebook post that described him as a beautiful soul who will be deeply missed. His sudden departure has left family, friends, and colleagues in a state of shock and grief.

Luke Guillot’s educational journey began at Baton Rouge Community College, where he studied from 2008 to 2010. He successfully earned an Associate of Business degree, specializing in Business. This foundation paved the way for his professional career, which was characterized by dedication, skill, and a commitment to excellence.

Luke’s career started as a Pipe Fitter Helper at Performance Contractors, where he worked for three months from June 2009 to August 2009. He then transitioned to the role of an Outside Sales Representative at Vida Paint & Supply in the Lafayette, Louisiana Area. For over five years, from January 2011 to September 2016, Luke managed existing accounts and established new ones in the Gulf Coast region, showcasing his expertise in sales and customer relations.

Subsequently, Luke served as a Sales Representative at Shannon Hardware Co. in Broussard, Louisiana, for two months. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Ragin Renovations, where he offered a variety of services, including Sheetrock, electrical work, woodwork, and more. This venture lasted from October 2016 to January 2019.

Luke’s career continued to flourish as he took on the role of Superintendent at D.R. Horton in Slidell, Louisiana. His tenure there, from January 2019 to May 2021, was marked by his skillful management and dedication. Following this, he became the Owner of Capital Home Construction LLC in Abbeville, further solidifying his reputation in the construction industry.

Most recently, Luke was part of Impetus, where he started as an Assistant Superintendent and was later promoted to Superintendent, a role he held from May 2021 to April 2023. His promotion was a testament to his exceptional performance and leadership abilities.

Luke Guillot’s passing is a significant loss to the community. He was not just a skilled professional but also a cherished friend and family member. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his contributions to the industry and community will not be forgotten.
