“Denis and I first met in Paramedic school, which marked the beginning of our 20+ year friendship. We studied together, took exams together, joined Strongsville Fire together, and retired together. Denis and his family have faced numerous challenges with incredible strength. My heart breaks for Denis, Lisa, and their children as they cope with the loss of their son, Lucas.”
Lucas, a 21-year-old graduate of Avon Lake High School, was an accomplished wrestler during his high school years, following in his father’s footsteps. As the eldest of five siblings, Lucas was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. This loss is an unimaginable tragedy.
