Lorraine Weikel Death News: Resident Of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, Lorraine Weikel Passed Away After Long Fight With Cancer
Lorraine ‘Rain’ Gail Weikel, a 63-year-old resident of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, with her loving family by her side.
Her passing has left a void in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Carl W. Nelson, Sr. and Winifred P. (Clark) Nelson, who both died before Lorraine was born, were her parents.
Lorraine resided in Brookhaven, Pennsylvania, and was born in Chester.
During their thirty years together, she was married to her beloved husband, Joseph Samuel Weikel.
After graduating from Sun Valley High School in 1978, she obtained her nursing license from Methodist Hospital in 1982.
Lorraine attended Sun Valley High School and went on to become a dedicated nurse.
She received a Master of Science in Nursing from Immaculata University in 2020 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015.
She made the choice to continue her education, and the university awarded her both degrees. Lorraine began her career as an intensive care unit nurse at Methodist Hospital and rose to the position of nurse manager.
She made a lasting impact on the lives of numerous patients, coworkers, and families in the South Philadelphia area with her compassion and unwavering optimism. Her impact was profound.
As a devoted member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Church community in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, Lorraine found that her faith gave her strength and serenity.
In addition to her achievements in the workplace, Lorraine was well-known for her culinary prowess and her appreciation of quality family time.
Fitzy, her beloved puppy, was by her side constantly and gave her a tremendous amount of joy.
Samantha Elena Weikel, Lorraine’s daughter, who lives in San Francisco, California, is her surviving child.
Her siblings, Carl W. Nelson, Jr., who lives in Milton, Delaware, and Lynn Marie Galbraith (Bill), who lives in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, also survive her.
Numerous family relatives, including nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandphews, also survive her.
Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects at St. Thomas the Apostle Church on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, starting at 9:15 AM and going until 10:15 AM. At 10:30 AM, there will be a religious service. The funeral will take place in Linwood, Pennsylvania’s Lawn Croft Cemetery.
