Kenneth Macho Obituary: 75-yr-old San Diego Man Who Died on SR-74 After Crashing into Tow Truck named

Kenneth Macho Obituary – Authorities have confirmed the identity of a 75-year-old man who passed away in a collision on state Route 74 after crashing into a tow truck in the opposite lane. The Riverside County coroner’s office identified him as Kenneth Macho of San Diego on Thursday. The California Highway Patrol responded to the incident at mile post marker 88 around 12:30 p.m. that day.

According to CHP spokesman David Torres, the man and an elderly woman were in a white Subaru Crosstrek descending the mountain when, for reasons still being investigated, they veered across double solid lines and collided with a tow truck. The man driving the Subaru succumbed to the crash, while the woman sustained moderate injuries and the tow truck driver minor injuries.

They were taken to Desert Regional Medical Center. Both lanes were shut down for about three hours as authorities conducted an investigation at the site.
