A Saturday UTV crash in Placer County killed a student at Del Oro High School in Loomis, officials said. The Placer Union High School District mourns Loomis student Keira Bradley.

The district said students and staff receive chaplains and mental health care “and will continue as long as needed.”
Saturday night’s Newcastle crash was reported by the California Highway Patrol.
Bradley was trying to back the vehicle onto a home’s slanted paved driveway, according to CHP. Bradley reversed the car off the driveway and onto a steep embankment. Bradley lost control and the car rolled left. CHP stated she died in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
A vigil for Bradley was held Monday from 8 to 9 p.m. at Auburn Gymnastics Center. Bradley began visiting when she was 7 and continued until last year.
According to family friend and Auburn Gymnastics Center owner Natalie Odis, Bradley was “a friend to everyone.”
“She had this knack of really seeing people and if you were the one in the room struggling, she would know and come and sit and hold space with you and really help you through moments,” Odis recalled. “And she did that for many teammates.”
Family, friends, and previous gymnastics coaches shared their greatest memories of Bradley at the vigil. Longtime coaches considered Bradley a lovely soul.
“She was so loving,” coach Cassie Gadberry said. “She was special, and we will miss her.”
Other coach Hannah Valdez wanted Keira to be recognized for her cheerful demeanor and excellent approach.
“She was always the one that had a smile on her face, was there to cheer up her friends and love anyone that would need a friend,” said Valdez.
Bradley was almost 16. Her family scheduled her 16th birthday on Friday, December 22. Instead, a candlelight vigil is held.
