Katie Clark Springdale, VA mother of two found dead on October 2, Funeral plans

Katie Clark Springdale, VA Death: 41-year-old Katie Gene Clark, of Narrows, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Katie was born on June 8, 1983, in Blacksburg, Virginia, as the daughter of Jeffrey Howard Clark and Tammy Michelle Price Cumbee. Her loving brother, Paul Davis Clark, her grandmothers, Sylvia Mae Hare and Phyllis Neice, as well as her aunt, Karen Stanley, all died before her.

Katie graduated from Narrows High School in 2001, where she excelled at cheerleading, basketball, and volleyball while also demonstrating strong school spirit. Katie adored her family more than anything. Her two boys were her most cherished achievements. She had a contagious smile that lit up whatever place she came into. She cheered on everyone in her life. She was a carer who always lent a helpful hand. She was a fighter who could handle anything life threw at her. She was always joking and making people laugh; being around her was like being in the sunshine, and she made the house seem like home.

She is survived by two sons, Ayden Scott Meredith and Kolton Ryder Clark, both of Narrows, and was a sister to Lora Jackson, Jessica Milam, Caley Dugan, Matthew McCoy, Emily Clark, Aleah Clark, Rayne Clark, step-sister to Amanda Cumbee, Melissa Myers, Daniel Schetselaar, stepdaughter to Amy Clark and Dennis Cumbee, her grandfathers, Paul Hare and Eugene Neice, many nieces, nephews, aunts, an uncle and cousins, and her boyfriend “whom she loved very much,” Daniel Frazier.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Givens-Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows, followed by burial in the Shrader Cemetery in (Wolf Creek) Narrows.
