The Fire Department mourns the loss of Active Member Firefighter Jason E. Baldwin of Ladder Company 46, who passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024. His departure leaves behind a legacy of service and a void felt deeply by the entire firefighting community. Jason was not only a dedicated firefighter but also a cherished son-in-law of Former Squad 288 Captain Tom Evans.
Jason Baldwin’s commitment extended beyond the firehouse. He was a beloved family man survived by his spouse Kelly, their 2-year-old son Greyson, parents Barbara and John Baldwin, in-laws Debbie and Tom Evans, brother Bryan, sister Caitlan Bose, and numerous extended family members and friends. His passing is mourned not only by his immediate family but also by a broader community that recognized and respected his unwavering dedication to duty and service.
In memory of Jason’s legacy, the Baldwin family has requested donations to The Firefighter Jason E. Baldwin Children’s Scholarship Fund. Details for Firefighter Baldwin’s services have been arranged to honor his life of selflessness and bravery. The community is invited to pay their respects during the visitation on March 3, 2024, at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on March 4, 2024, at St. Stephen The First Martyr Church, with a private cremation to follow.
