Two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault with intent to murder are being brought against a 26-year-old man by the police after they claim he stabbed two individuals on Saturday at a nearby reststop restaurant.
Authorities named 26-year-old Jared Ravizza as the suspect on Sunday afternoon. Although Ravizza was taken into custody on Saturday night, he is presently undergoing non-life-threatening injury treatment at a nearby hospital.
On Sunday, prosecutors stated that they thought the man was connected to the four girls who were stabbed inside a nearby town’s movie theater.
Before being taken into custody in the town of Sandwich, Ravizza allegedly attacked two McDonald’s employees in Plymouth, Massachusetts, according to the district attorney’s office.
According to a news release from prosecutors, officials received a 911 call about a stabbing at a McDonald’s in the Plymouth, New Hampshire, Route 3 rest area at around 7:00 p.m. ET. They also saw that the suspect had left the scene.
Prosecutors said that when emergency services arrived, they found two victims, a 21-year-old girl and a 28-year-old man, who had both suffered cuts from knives.
They were sent to nearby hospitals. Prosecutors claim that security tape captured a defendant, identified as Ravizza, stabbing the male victim through the drive-thru window, parking his car, going inside the McDonald’s, and then attacking the female victim.
After the incident, Ravizza allegedly drove away from the scene, according to the prosecution. Around 7:15 p.m., Ravizza was taken into custody in Sandwich by the authorities.
According to Braintree Police, four girls were hurt in a stabbing spree at a movie theatre in Braintree, Massachusetts, an hour before the incident at the McDonald’s.
Authorities reported that a man entered an AMC Braintree 10 theatre at 6 p.m. on Saturday. After entering the theatre, the suspect attacked four females, aged nine to seventeen, according to the police, who also stated that the attack seemed random and unplanned.
According to police, the four girls were sent to Boston hospitals for treatment after suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
According to authorities, the suspect drove off in a black SUV. Police were able to identify a license plate and notify other law enforcement authorities through the use of camera footage in their investigation.
Following this report, the police learned that a car that fit the description had been involved in a “similar assault” at the Plymouth McDonald’s.
Authorities suspect Ravizza is related to the four young girls who were stabbed at AMC even though she has not been charged with those incidents.
