According to Tallahassee Police, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Monday evening while strolling along West Pensacola Street in Tallahassee. The pedestrian was identified as a student of the Florida State University and a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Tallahassee Police Department and Florida State University Police Department are investigating the deadly crash.
The department reported that the tragic collision occurred at 6:40 PM on Monday evening in the vicinity of the Lorene Street and West Pensacola Street intersection.
The authorities have implemented road closures on Pensacola Street, specifically from Woodward Avenue to Gray Street. They are currently engaged in active operations at the area, as reported by TPD at 8:45 p.m.
The agency posted on social media, advising drivers to steer clear of the area. The TPD is presently conducting an investigation into a deadly crash involving a pedestrian that took place in the vicinity of the Lorene and Pensacola Street junction at around 6:40 p.m. The pedestrian, identified as an adult female, was hit by a vehicle and succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Her name is not being released until next of kins notifications.
