Late Thursday night, a tragic shooting incident shook Corryville, just blocks away from the University of Cincinnati’s campus, resulting in one fatality and two injuries, including a teenager.
Law enforcement responded to a distress call around 11 p.m. reporting a shooting in the 200 block of Fosdick Street, near Martin Luther King Drive and close to the University of Cincinnati campus.
Despite the swift response from authorities, one victim, identified as 21-year-old Dujawn Samuel McDaniel Foster III, succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim, a 16-year-old, was rushed to Children’s Hospital and is reportedly in stable condition. Additionally, a third individual, possibly connected to the shooting, presented themselves at UC Hospital later but was found to have no gunshot wounds.
Initial investigations suggest that the shooting may have occurred during a gathering or party at the residence, although details surrounding the incident remain limited.
