According to a statement from the Lafayette Police Department, 30-year-old Kendrick Green of Lafayette, Louisiana is the man who was shot and killed on Sunday. According to authorities, the victim was discovered in the 400 block of Justin Street. The person received medical attention but was eventually declared dead at the spot. In relation to this homicide, one person has been taken into custody. The male suspect is a 17-year-old Lafayette resident.
According to LPD, the suspect and Green had been having a heated disagreement before the shooting. At one point, the suspect pulled out a revolver and shot the victim. On one count of second-degree murder, he has been placed in the Lafayette Juvenile Detention Center.
