This calling led him to pursue a career in emergency medical services, and for over 20 years, he served with Waterloo Region Paramedic Services. A celebration of Dean’s life will be held on December 22, 2024, at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex, where family, friends, and colleagues will gather to honor his remarkable life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity supporting mental health for first responders or the Waterloo Region Paramedic Services’ community outreach programs.
