AUSTIN, Texas – The Austin Police Department (APD) is appealing to the public for assistance in identifying two individuals who may possess vital information relating to a fatal collision.
In the early hours of Sunday, October 8th, at approximately 3:07 a.m., law enforcement officers promptly responded to a distress call reporting a crash in the 2200 block of East 7th Street in the heart of Downtown Austin.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the lifeless body of a woman. The victim has since been identified as Migle Kungyte, a 28-year-old active duty soldier.
During the course of their investigation, APD Detectives uncovered video footage depicting two individuals who may possess valuable information pertaining to the incident, as well as a potentially involved vehicle.
The first person of interest is described as a white or Hispanic male, last seen wearing a white baseball cap, a light-colored shirt, dark shorts, and white socks with white shoes.
The second person of interest is described as a Hispanic or Black male, last seen wearing a black jacket, a gray shirt, and blue jeans.

According to the Austin Police Department, the potentially involved vehicle is a white 2018-2022 Toyota 4Runner Limited Edition.
Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or calling 512-472-8477 (TIPS). Informants may choose to remain anonymous. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.

Informants wishing to remain anonymous will be protected to the fullest extent permitted by law, and their information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. A reward of up to $10,000 may be offered for credible information pertaining to the incident.
