Dayanara Santiago York PA Death, Woman died after tragic accident on U.S Route 30

On June 4, 2024, at around 1:10 p.m., a horrible catastrophe happened on Route 30 East in Lancaster County, close to mile marker 256.6. After a tragic three-vehicle crash that ended in a fire, the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office was called. While rescue personnel laboured assiduously to contain the fire and evaluate the situation, the scene was chaotic.

When the coroner’s investigator arrived, he found a seriously damaged car. The driver, an adult female, was the only person in her automobile. She was tragically declared dead at the scene. Her body was taken, by protocol, to the Lancaster County Forensic Center for additional analysis. Afterwards, York, Pennsylvania resident Dayanara Santiago, 30, was identified as the dead.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the collision, aiming to prevent future accidents and ensure the safety of all travelers on Route 30. The United States Numbered Highway System’s principal east-west route, known as U.S. Route 30 or U.S. Highway 30, traverses the country’s northern region. After US 20 and US 6, it is the third-longest U.S. highway at 3,072 miles.
