David Renaud, aged fifty, peacefully passed away on February 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 26 years, Hannah, and his proud father, Ryan. David was the cherished son of the late Raymond and Joyce Renaud, and he was also dearly loved by his second mother, Jill Renaud, and her family. He will be deeply missed by his brothers Jeff Renaud (Patti) and Mike Renaud (Laureen).
David was the beloved son-in-law of Robin Paulton and the late Susan Paulton, and he leaves behind Christian Paulton (Christie) and Bonnie Bensette (Tim). He was a wonderful uncle to Brad, Nick, Michael, Nora, Harry, Kate, Daphne, and Elijah, as well as a great uncle to Daphne. David also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and coworkers, along with his cherished cats, Timbit and MiniBit.
For the past twenty-five years, David dedicated himself to his career as a camera operator, editor, and producer, working with esteemed organizations such as CTV, CBC, and Cogeco. Most recently, he served as a producer for YourTV for the Windsor Spitfires. David found immense joy in the North Country, from his childhood spent in Port Carling on Lake Muskoka to his sixteen years at Lakes End in Magnetawan. An avid water skier since the age of eight, he spent his recent years sharing his passion by teaching his son Ryan the art of water skiing.
In honor of David’s memory and his love for felines, his family kindly requests contributions to the Windsor Essex County Humane Society.
David has been cremated, and visiting hours for the memorial service will be held at Families First Funeral Home in South Windsor on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. A private memorial ceremony for friends and family will take place at a later date.
