Brian Moore Magnolia DE Death, Kent County Department of Public Safety Dispatcher died after accident

Kent County Department of Public Safety Dispatcher Brian Moore of Magnolia, Delaware has died. He passed away on Wednesday 26th June 2024 after a tragic accident. He was confirmed dead through a post that reads “We are deeply saddened to announce the tragic passing of Dispatcher Brian Moore, EC29, who died in a motor vehicle crash this morning. Brian was an integral part of our team, renowned for his unwavering positive attitude and steadfast dedication to serving our community.”

How did the accident happen?

The crash occurred at approximately 5 a.m. on Walnut Shade Road, west of Barney Jenkins Road. Authorities detailed that a Cadillac Escalade was traveling eastbound on Walnut Shade Road when it veered out of its lane for reasons yet unknown. The Cadillac crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound Honda Accord. The driver of the Honda, identified as Brian Moore, was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of the impact.

The 18-year-old driver of the Cadillac, from Bear, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Additionally, a 19-year-old woman from Harrington, who was a passenger in the Cadillac, was airlifted to a nearby hospital, also with non-life-threatening injuries. Walnut Shade Road remained closed for approximately three hours while authorities conducted their investigation and cleared the scene.

The Delaware State Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. They urge anyone with information to come forward by contacting Master Corporal W.
