Boerne ISD Lockdown: Police investigations, lockout at Champion High School in Kendall County, Boerne, TX.

Boerne Champion High School Shooting Threat Investigations: Boerne Police Department is investigating a shooting threat at the Boerne Champion High School in Boerne, Texas Wednesday.  Boerne Police Department wrote; The Boerne Police, joined by our law enforcement partners, are investigating a threat directed at both high schools within BISD. We take these threats seriously and have law enforcement at both high schools. As a result, both campuses are on lockdown and all other BISD schools are on lock-out.

Everyone is safe and we continue to investigate the validity of the threat. The difference between lockdown and lockout suggests there was a threat *outside* a school in the district. Original post should be updated to clarify “lockout”. School resource officers are aware of the situation but are not divulging details, even to parent volunteers who are locked in the schools with the students.

Boerne ISD families: Boerne ISD currently is in a district wide lockout. All classrooms are carrying on as usual. BISD is working with local law enforcement to resolve the matter. We respectfully request that parents not come to any campuses at this time. While in lockout mode no staff or students are allowed outside of the school until the situation is resolved, i.e, no outside recess, classes, physical education, etc, while lockdown mode is students and staff secure interior doors and stay secure inside classrooms. Thank you to law enforcement for their quick response. We will update you once we have more information. Thank you, Boerne ISD
