The death of Benjamin “Adam” Bock, who resided in Union, Missouri, and was 37 years old at the time of his death, occurred on March 25, 2024, at his private residence. His birth took place on March 5, 1987, in the city of Jefferson, and his parents, Benjamin Joseph Bock and Robin Gail Schaefferkoetter, were pleased to welcome him into the world.
After finishing his studies at Missouri S&T, Adam was awarded a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the institution. During the years that he spent working as an engineer at Fairlane Industries in St. Louis, he valued not just his job but also the people that he interacted with. Adam was endowed with a personality that had the power to raise the ambiance of any given environment. His laughter was deep and echoed throughout the entire room, and his smile, which was distinguished by dimples, radiated joy and warmth.
Adam was able to deliver hugs in a manner that no one else could. He had a deep understanding of technology and took great pleasure in making things, from his own personal computer to the desk that it was set on. He was exceptionally proficient in both of these areas. Adam had a deep appreciation for the culinary arts and took great joy in inventing new dishes as well as perfecting those that were already flawless.
His presence imparted a sense of enthusiasm and vitality to every occasion that he attended. He attended the United Church of Christ at St. Peter’s, where he was a member. His mother, Robin Schaefferkoetter, of O’Fallon, his father, Ben Bock and Ronda Calkins of Rosebud, and his brother, Alexander, and his wife, Jesse, of Cornelius, North Carolina, are among those who are able to carry on his legacy.
Friday, March 29, from 4 to 8 o’clock in the evening, there will be a reception at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville. The Reverend Stephanie DeLong will preside over the funeral services that will be held at the funeral home that will take place on Saturday, March 30 at 10:00 am. Interment will be place at Countryside Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts to the Owensville Alumni Association’s scholarship fund are encouraged.
