A teenager was killed and two others injured after car rash in Sandy Spring, Maryland early Wednesday.
Sanaa Vil, a senior at Sherwood High School, was driving in the area of Norwood Road and Nesbitt Farm Lane when she collided with a wooden light pole.
Vil, 17, was killed and two friends in the car with her were injured.
The two injured 17-year-olds were taken to an area hospital where they remain in critical condition.
“There are not enough words to describe how heartbroken we are at the passing of a member of our Sherwood GBB family, Sr. Sanaa Vil. She was an instant flood of light in the darkest of rooms, extremely charismatic, a natural born leader, and one of the kindest people on the planet,” the Sherwood girls basketball team posted on X.
