A woman, identified as Nicole Shoulders, lost her life on Thursday morning following a shooting in Huntsville.

The incident occurred on the 500 block of Webster Drive, near Garrison Street NW, just after 5 a.m.

Huntsville Police responded to reports of a possible shooting in progress. When officers arrived, they discovered the body of an adult female with a gunshot wound.

Multiple Huntsville Police patrol vehicles and HEMSI emergency units were seen at the scene. Officers worked around the property for nearly two hours, and crime scene tape was set up near the home.
