Rachel Leanne Thompson, a cherished young soul from Minton, Saskatchewan, passed away on November 21, 2024, at the tender age of 11.
Born on May 1, 2013, Rachel was a bright, kind, and vibrant presence in the lives of all who knew her. Her life, though tragically short, was filled with love, joy, and unforgettable memories that will remain with her family, friends, and community forever.
Rachel was predeceased by her beloved grandpa, Ian Thompson, and cousins, Ronan and Andrew Thompson. Their memories served as a foundation of love and connection within the Thompson family. Rachel now joins them in a place of peace and serenity.
Rachel is survived by her devoted parents, Ryan and Leanne Thompson, who cherished every moment they shared with their daughter. She was the beloved younger sister of Samuel Thompson, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond filled with laughter, love, and countless adventures.
Rachel’s family extended to her grandparents Keith and Eleanor Akins of Hearne, SK, and Bonnie Thompson of Alameda, SK, who adored their precious granddaughter and celebrated her every milestone.
Rachel was surrounded by a close-knit family of uncles, aunts, and cousins who played integral roles in her life. Her uncles Mark (Sherri) Akins, Brock (Collinda) Thompson, Garett (Danyelle) Thompson, and Mark (Kirstin) Thompson, along with their families, were a source of constant support and joy.
Rachel shared countless happy memories with her cousins Jaida, Jolee, Brendan, Casey, Wyatt, Jenna, Cadence, Colton, Alistair, Cullen, and Brennan. Together, they created a world of love and laughter that shaped her childhood.
Rachel’s life was filled with friendships and experiences that highlighted her joyful and compassionate spirit. Whether at home, school, or in the community, she was a beacon of light, bringing warmth and kindness to everyone she met.
Her friends, teachers, and neighbors remember her as a bright and thoughtful child with a love for learning, especially in her cherished Gladmar Regional School community.
A Celebration of Rachel’s Life will take place on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Gladmar Regional School in Gladmar, Saskatchewan, with Judy Beck officiating.
This service will be an opportunity for family, friends, and the community to gather in remembrance of Rachel’s incredible impact and to honor the joy she brought into the world.
