University of Texas at San Antonio is morning the death of one of its students who passed away recently. The student was found at Bauerle Road Garage on Wednesday 6th Novemeber 2024. The news was made known through a publication made on Facebook that reads “We are deeply saddened to share the news of the death of a student at the Bauerle Road Garage this morning.”
The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is offering additional mental health resources to students, faculty, and staff following the tragic death of a student earlier this week. In a heartfelt email sent to the campus community on Wednesday afternoon, UTSA President Taylor Eighmy provided further details about the situation and reminded the UTSA family of available mental health services.
The student’s passing is the second of its kind in recent months. In May, a male student died by what appeared to be suicide, an incident that President Eighmy had addressed in a letter to the campus at the time. In light of these tragedies, UTSA is doubling down on its commitment to student and employee well-being and is reminding the community that support is available.
In his message, President Eighmy emphasized that UTSA is committed to providing a range of mental health resources and support systems for those in need.
