Charles Thomas Swigon II has been identified as the victim in a tragic shooting in Simpsonville, Greenville County.
According to deputies, Swigon, 37, shot himself and two female family members before dying from his injuries. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office confirmed Swigon’s death as a suicide.
The incident unfolded just after 8:50 p.m. on North Harrison Bridge Road when a 911 call reported the scene.
Upon arrival, authorities found Swigon deceased and the two women with gunshot wounds. They are currently in serious condition at a local hospital receiving medical treatment.
Sheriff’s officials believe the shooting resulted from an internal family dispute.
