The statement confirmed that no officers were injured. Additionally, the names of the deceased have not been released as the investigation is ongoing.
The Ely facility is currently on lockdown, and multiple law enforcement agencies are involved in the investigation. The state’s corrections website indicated that “all visitation is closed at every facility until further notice.”
