Ava Jordan Topeka KS and Noah Lawler Death, Two died after motorcycle accident on July 27

A tragic two-vehicle crash at the intersection of S.W. 10th and Fairlawn Road claimed the lives of two young individuals and left three juveniles injured late Saturday morning. The collision involved a motorcycle and an SUV, resulting in the deaths of the motorcycle driver, 19-year-old Noah T. Lawler, and his 20-year-old passenger, Ava R. Jordan.

Shawnee County Sheriff Brian C. Hill provided an update on the incident on Sunday afternoon, confirming the fatalities and detailing the events leading up to the crash. According to Hill, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and ambulance workers were dispatched to the scene at 11:54 a.m. on Saturday.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the motorcycle, driven by Lawler with Jordan as his passenger, was traveling northbound on S.W. Fairlawn. At the same time, a Chrysler Voyager, carrying three juveniles, was heading southbound on S.W. Fairlawn and turning east onto S.W. 10th. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, and the circumstances remain under investigation.

The impact of the collision was severe, leading to the immediate deaths of Lawler and Jordan. The three juveniles in the Chrysler Voyager sustained injuries and were promptly taken to a hospital by American Medical Response ambulance. Details regarding their names, ages, genders, and current conditions have not been disclosed.

The Topeka Police Department and Topeka Fire Department both provided crucial assistance at the scene of the accident. The area around the intersection of S.W. 10th and Fairlawn was temporarily closed to allow first responders and investigators to work safely. As the investigation continues, the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information about the crash to come forward. No further details are being made public at this time.
