Death: Daniel Roberts Murfreesboro TN Car Accident, Man died in crash on I-24 near Rutherford County line

Daniel Roberts, a resident of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, has tragically passed away. He was 39 years old at the time of his death. He was confirmed dead in a social media publication that read “Things will never be the same. We’ll miss you down here. Fly High Daniel Roberts.” Dan studied at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), according to his social media profile.

What happened to Daniel Roberts?
The driver who died in the collision that forced the closure of a section of Interstate 24 in Davidson County on Tuesday morning has been named by the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD). Just after 7:30 a.m., a crash occurred in the westbound lanes close to the Old Hickory Boulevard exit at the Rutherford County line.

The collision claimed the lives of at least four cars, one of which flipped over and stopped against the median wall. According to Metro police, the collision claimed the life of at least one guy. The driver was identified by MNPPD as Murfreesboro resident Daniel Roberts, 39, in a press release.

About 11:30 a.m., the road was fully restored to traffic. Traffic was rerouted off the freeway at the exit for Waldron Road. The preliminary inquiry, according to the MNPPD, showed that three cars were stopped in heavy traffic when a Dodge Ram pickup truck failed to stop, hitting the back of a Toyota Solara. That Solara had been driven by Roberts.

The Ram’s driver, a 27-year-old man, declined on-site medical attention. He may have been distracted, but he did not exhibit any signs of impairment, according to the press release. The results of the current inquiry will be considered before charges are decided.
