Well-known drummer and former member of the Full Circle Cape Breton Band in Nova Scotia, Scott Boyd has sadly passed away. He was announced dead by the band through a social media publication that read “Saddened by the passing of our friend and former bandmate, Scott Boyd. Our deepest sympathies to Ashley, Donnie, and their family.”
Who was Scott Boyd?
Scott Boyd was in the band Tabloid many years ago and he was a great drummer and a really good guy. He was a loving father to Ashley Boyd. He was loved and cherished by his sisters Jan and Lynn as well as many cousins and Ashley’s mother Edwina Boyd. Scott was a larger-than-life personality and knew the value of family. Under that boisterous exterior was a kind and humble man.
During his Tabloid days, he was a drumming teacher and he was in Grease at Riverview. So many other things he did. People loved it when Tasha, Scott and Rob hosted the breakfast morning show on The Giant radio station. He was so funny and down to earth and a lot of memories from his days on Breakfast Television were always funny as well.
Tribute to Scott Boyd
Natashia LeJeune in a social media post expressed her sadness over the passing of her dear friend. “One of my favorite people has passed away! Scott Boyd, although we haven’t been in touch in a few years, I still recount our memories of radio together all the time.” She added “I look back to when I found out that I was moving home and that I was coming to do a morning show with Rob & Scott, I was excited and nervous all at the same time. This world just became a little sadder”
