Nolan Barr Mashpee MA Death, Teen died after car accident on Cape Cod on June 25

A teenager was killed and five others were injured in a horrific car crash on Cape Cod early Tuesday morning. According to Mashpee Police, the incident occurred when seven teens were packed into a Toyota RAV4 that lost control and slammed into a tree on Carlton Drive, just south of Swain Circle, around 2 a.m. The driver reportedly lost control of the SUV moments before the crash. Six of the occupants were rushed to local hospitals, with two sustaining what police described as “life-threatening injuries.”

Tragically, one of those two, a 17-year-old boy from Mashpee, succumbed to his injuries later. The identities of the other teens and their current conditions have not been released. As the community reels from the devastating news, authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash. Mashpee Police, along with other agencies, are conducting a thorough investigation to piece together the events leading up to the accident.

This is an active and ongoing investigation, and more information will be provided as it becomes available,” the Mashpee Police Department stated in a press release.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward. In the meantime, the community mourns the loss of a young life and hopes for the recovery of the injured teens.
