Both Matt and I, along with another member were speaking about our family history after a high council meeting one week – only to discover we all had Hoyts in our family and we discovered all three of us were distant cousins. He was a wonderful person as is his wife. His family needs some help. We are all so sad.”

Matt Hoyt was a beloved father and husband and a resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He went to Brigham Young University from 2002 to 2006 where he obtained a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) and also attended the University of Pennsylvania where he obtained his master’s in Computer and Information Technology in Computer Science.
Matt worked at the Financial Accounting Standards Board from 2007 to 2007 as a Post-Graduate Technical Assistant and was a Senior Associate at KPMG LLP from 2008 to 2009. He worked as an Associate Director at the UBS Investment Bank from 2009 to 2012 and was currently a Senior Accounting Manager at PNC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Matt Hoyt served in Church Stake positions for many years. Many in the church knew him well.
