Adrian Aguirre Massachusetts Death, Man died near Colchuck Lake on June 22

On Saturday, Adrian A. Aguirre, a 19-year-old from Massachusetts, tragically passed away near Colchuck Lake in Washington. The incident unfolded in the early afternoon when RiverCom dispatch received a distressing Text-to-911 message at approximately 3:39 p.m. The message reported an unconscious male who was not breathing, prompting an immediate response from emergency services, according to a press release by the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

The coordinates from the distress message pinpointed the location near the picturesque but remote Colchuck Lake, a popular destination for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. Recognizing the urgency, a search and rescue coordinator swiftly requested helicopter assistance. The King County Sheriff’s Office initially accepted the mission, estimating their arrival time to be around one hour.

While awaiting the helicopter, those on the scene initiated CPR in a desperate attempt to revive Aguirre. After about 45 minutes of continuous efforts, a responder reported that Aguirre had neither a pulse nor had taken a breath for approximately 15 minutes. Given this critical update, the CCSO made the decision to take over the mission directly, dispatching a helicopter with a medic onboard. The CCSO helicopter transported personnel to the site where they found Aguirre already deceased.

His body was then airlifted to the Leavenworth Fish Hatchery before being transferred to the Chelan County Coroner. As of now, the Chelan County Coroner’s Office has not determined the cause of Aguirre’s death, and further investigations are likely to follow to understand the circumstances leading to Adrian’s death.

Adrian Aguirre’s obituary will be released by the family
