Denham Springs, Louisiana resident and Baton Rouge Central High School alumna Amanda Holden has tragically passed away.
She was announced dead through a social media publication that read “You will surely be missed Amanda Holden🙏 she was just a great human being to everyone around. My heart breaks for her kids and husband right now”
The identity of the fatal motorcycle crash victim has been verified by the Mississippi Highway Patrol. According to officials, Amanda Holden, 43, passed away on Sunday following a collision on I-10 close to the Menge Avenue exit.
Holden was reportedly riding east with three other motorcycle riders, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol. A sixteen-year-old passenger rode alongside a 39-year-old man who was operating one of the bikes.
The passenger once went off the bike, and Holden had to make an evasive move to keep from colliding with the falling person and crashing. Holden passed away at the site after suffering terrible injuries.
The other two motorcycle riders likewise swerved to avoid the collision. Two were transported by air to a hospital in New Orleans, while the other two were transported by ambulance to nearby medical facilities.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking into the collision; at this time, it is unknown how much the other victims have been injured.
Amanda Holden was a native of Jackson, Louisiana, and a graduate of Central High School in Baton Rouge, according to her social media profile. She was a beloved wife to her husband and an adorable mother and sister. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
