Brian H. Benedetti was a Chef at Harry’s Fine Foods who was stabbed to death in Washington State Saturday night.
One person died after a stabbing attack in the Capitol Hill light rail station.
The 37-year-old victim reportedly got into an altercation with two men that got violent and led to his death after he was stabbed multiple times.
According to Seattle Police, Good Samaritans tried to stop the bleeding, but he later died at Harborview Medical Center.
Full name Brian Hugh Benedetti, the deceased chef hailed from Tacoma.
He studied at the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Portland, graduating in 2009.
He previously worked for several fine establishments in Portland such as Jacqueline, Mediterranean Exploration Company and Headwaters before making his way over to Seattle to join Harry’s Fine Foods.
In two years with the company, he started as lead of the Brunch program before rising to become Executive Chef.
Following his passing, Harry’s Fine Foods closed down on Sunday, which was one of the biggest days of the year – Mother’s Day.
The restaurant was closed Monday too.
“I don’t pretend I knew him very well, you know. I’m sorry for his family and friends. I can only imagine,” said Eedie DeRoest, who has worked for just about a month and a half at Harry’s Fine Foods.
Authorities are expected to formally identify Benedetti soon as well as name the suspects in his death.
