The Cleveland High School community in Tennessee is grappling with profound grief following the tragic loss of two students, Air’ra Wilson and Shytez Jackson, in a car accident on Friday. The school shared the heartbreaking news on its social media platforms, expressing deep sorrow and extending condolences to the families affected by this devastating loss.
Despite the heavy hearts, Cleveland High School is moving forward with plans for the scheduled prom on April 27, recognizing the students’ desire to gather and be together during this difficult time. The school intends to provide a safe space for students to honor and celebrate the lives of their classmates during the prom event.
In addition to prom, counselors will be available at the school on the evening of April 27 and during the prom itself to offer support to students, staff, and community members in need. Counseling services will also be accessible on Monday, April 29, to provide ongoing assistance and comfort to those affected by the tragedy.
