According to reports, Jennifer Polak, a longtime resident of Ajax, Ontario passed away from injuries sustained in the incident. She was a very beautiful soul, mother, daughter, and friend to everyone she met.

Police in Ajax located the body of a 45-year-old woman on Saturday night in a building, leading to the arrest of a man. The Ajax Police Department responded to a residence on Shoal Point Road and Bayly Street East, as reported on the X app. At around 11:05 p.m., officers found the woman deceased with significant injuries.

A 35-year-old man found at the scene was taken into protective custody. The police have labeled the case as a homicide but have released limited details.

Duty Inspector Rob Williamson of the Durham Regional Police stressed that the victim and the man were acquainted. He assured that further information on their identities would surface as their investigation progressed.
