Mr. Terrell McFalls, aged 81, a native of Bedford, Kentucky, was born on February 17, 1943, in Lynch, Kentucky, to his late parents, Ballard McFalls and Ora Lee Hibbs. He dedicated nine years of his life to serving in the United States Army. Throughout his lifetime, he resided in various locations in Kentucky, including Shepherdsville, Louisville, and Sulphur, before ultimately settling in Bedford in 2003. On February 6, 2017, he exchanged vows with Carol Johnston at Point Park in Carrollton, Kentucky.
Professionally, Mr. McFalls worked for nine years as a Control Engineer at Vermont America in Louisville, Kentucky. He was actively involved in veterans’ affairs, serving as a former quartermaster at VFW Post 1969 in Madison, Indiana, and maintaining membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars. His profound love for animals, particularly his three cherished pets—Dottie, Doodlebug, and Ladybug—was evident to all who knew him. In his leisure time, he immersed himself in computer-related activities, often lending his expertise to those in need of assistance with their personal computers.
Mr. Terrell McFalls passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 1:26 p.m. in the Signature HealthCARE of Carrollton Rehab & Wellness Center in Carrollton, Kentucky.
He leaves behind his devoted wife and companion of twenty-four years, Carol Johnston, along with his two daughters, Judy Maish of Richmond, Indiana, and Barbara Cunningham and her husband, Brian, of Sulphur, Kentucky. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Stephanie Cunningham and Savannah McFalls, his brother-in-law, David Johnston of Harrogate, Tennessee, as well as close friends Nick Schultz and April South, and a special friend, Sue Richards. Preceding him in death were his father, Ballard McFalls, his mother, Ora Lee Hibbs, his granddaughter, Shelby Maish, his son-in-law, Jerry Marsh, and his brother-in-law, William Johnston. Mr. McFalls was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
In accordance with Mr. McFalls’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. Those who wish to commemorate his life may do so by making a memorial contribution to the Trimble County Animal Shelter. Memorial cards are available for purchase at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centres in Madison and Hanover.
