David Juarez Obituary – Phoenix police have reported that a man has died and another has been injured following a shooting and subsequent car crash at a residence in the West Valley area. The incident occurred on Thursday around 12:50 p.m. when police received reports of a multi-vehicle crash and fire near 61st Avenue and Filmore Street. Upon arrival, authorities discovered a vehicle completely engulfed in flames.
Sadly, 19-year-old David Juarez was found deceased at the scene, while an unidentified adult passenger was transported to a hospital and is currently in stable condition. Concurrently, calls reporting a shooting were received in the same vicinity as the car crash. Police discovered evidence of a shooting at a nearby home but did not find any suspects or victims at the location.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide, and at this time, no suspects have been identified. The cause of Juarez’s death is yet to be determined, as it remains unclear whether it was a result of the shooting or the car crash. The Phoenix police have urged anyone with information to contact Silent Witness anonymously, as tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward.
