A 25-year-old female was fatally shot in a Woodlawn apartment during the late hours of Tuesday, as stated by the police.
The victim, known as Emani V. Humphrey according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, was discovered with a gunshot wound to her face at 10:35 p.m. within a first-floor apartment located on the 6500 block of South Greenwood Avenue, as reported by the office.
Humphrey was declared deceased at the location. Homicide investigation is being carried out by Area One detectives; currently, no suspects are in custody.
