Funeral services for Mr. Devan Scott Perkins will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, with Reverend Greg Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Cryer Cemetery, Oakdale, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Perkins, 19, of Cypress Creek Community, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.
He was a loving son, brother, and grandson. Devan was a loving person and was always happy. He was full of life and had fun everywhere he went. His family knew him as a character that was stubborn, but loveable. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Noah Perkins; his paternal grandfather, J.E. Perkins; and his maternal grandfather, Sidney Peloquin.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his father, Jay Perkins (Michelle) of Cypress Creek Community; his mother, Amy Bordelon (Gabe) of Crooked Creek Community; six brothers, Dylan Perkins (Jada) of Kinder, Jace Adams of Cypress Creek Community, Zach Richmond (Bradley) of Oakdale, Eric Richmond (Richlyn) of Eunice, Jason Walker of Oakdale, and Jon Bordelon of Crooked Creek Community; two sisters, Karli Perkins of Crooked Creek Community, and Jacee Adams of Oakdale; his paternal grandmother, Joann Perkins of Oakdale; his maternal grandmother, Diana Kay Leger (Ricky) of Eunice; and his girlfriend, Aniyah Ross of Glenmora.
A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
