Hector Camacho Obituary, Death – Visitation & Funeral Service
The Louisville community was rocked by tragedy late Monday night when a violent shooting claimed the life of Hector Camacho and left three others injured in Fern Creek. Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) officers responded to the shooting around 11:40 p.m. in the 5500 block of Overbrook Woods Place, an area within a residential apartment complex near Bardstown Road.
Upon arrival, officers found Hector Camacho with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save his life and the swift arrival of emergency medical services, Camacho was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other men were also found with gunshot injuries and were rushed to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment, thankfully with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
The LMPD’s Homicide Unit has taken charge of the investigation, but progress has been hindered by the lack of identified suspects.
