At approximately 4:50 p.m., deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting report in the 400 block of Forest Drive. Upon arrival, emergency personnel from Fairfield Fire and Rescue discovered Tate unresponsive. Despite their best efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:56 p.m. It remains unclear whether the shooting occurred inside or outside a residence.
